Okay, I know technically it’s still summer, but we’re stacking cordwood and getting our flowerbeds ready for winter. I can’t say w’ere ready for snow, ice and sub-freezing temps! In fiction, maybe? Along with some pretty pictures of winter in Vermont? 😉
I wrote Cold Pursuit, the first book in my New York Times and USA Today Black Falls trilogy, during a particularly snowy winter in Vermont. Research was easy enough: I just looked out the window or strapped on my snowshoes and headed into the woods. It’s on sale in eBook right now for just $2.49 (that could change without notice) and it’s getting a digital cover refresh.
Next in the series is Cold River, also getting a digital refresh. The third book is Cold Dawn. A sequel short story, “Cold Moonlight,” too, is also available on its own digitally on its own and digitally in print and on its own in the Love Is Murder story collection, edited by Sandra Brown; proceeds go to International Thriller Writers (I had the great honor of serving as ITW Vice President). It’s currently a bonus story in Secret Hideaway, an e-novella I wrote a few years ago to support diabetes research.
Enjoy!
