On the road!

Made it to Boston yesterday despite a flat tire. Well, not on the highway. In the driveway as I was getting myself together to leave. Fortunately Joe tackled it. It wasn’t straightforward because the wheel was bent (hence the flat tire), but it got done. Nice drive south on a beautiful day. I took myself to lunch to celebrate Impostor’s Lure hitting stores. Maybe not glamorous but quite pleasant! I found a nice throw at West Elm, too. Then a pleasant walk along the Charles River to take a moment to be grateful for this day. (Photo above is from my walk.)
The highlight of the day, though, was getting to chat with readers at the Billerica Public Library. What a great turnout and a fun group! They laughed at all my jokes. I rambled a bit, but I had a good time. It’s a beautiful library, bigger than I expected and very welcoming.

Tonight I’ll be at the North Reading public library, and at 5 PM I’m doing an interview with Pam Stack at Authors on the Air, a terrific blog-radio program. It’s just 6:30 AM as I type this, so I’m figuring out my day. Writing, of course, but also…food. I’m staying with my son and his fridge is a bit bare. Chicken sausages, eggs, chopped onions and beer. And milk for my coffee! I meant to bring some local Vermont fruit and veggies down for us, but did I mention I had a flat tire? 😉
Back home to Vermont tomorrow and my launch signing and celebration at Phoenix Books in Rutland!
